Windows did a few updates of late and I'm starting to wonder if they are the cause of the recent problems. Here's my problem. I can no longer set WMP as my default media player. Vista says that it is my current default player for all media it plays, but when ever I double click to play, say a mp3, I get the "Choose what program to open this file" screen.

Changing the default to another program works, and Vista remembers, just not when its WMP related. So far I have tried: Vista recovery - Only goes back 3 days, roughly when this problem started.
