Western digital tv hd live media player wifi test

Hi everyone! Everything started perfectly. The first time I plugged in the device it automatically recognized my WiFi network and connected to it. I was able to watch some videos on YouTube and my Facebook account, so I assume the Internet connection is fine. The nightmare started when I tried to look for movies in my PC. In the Videos option I chose Network Share. At first, I could see all the devices connected to my network that is, my PC and a Notebook.

When I tried to access to either of them, I was required to enter a username and password. After a couple of tries I looked for a solution online and came up with this forum. I read several topics but I believe these 2 are the best:. However, once it connects, a message appears saying there is nothing shared. Assuming everything else is done right, the solutions described works.

Just to update this, I went for option 2 in the end which is the homeplugs. When I try clicking on Network Share option, nothing happens at all. It still allows me to access Youtube etc. After a minute or two, everythings back to normal. I am having the same problem I have tried everything, and still does not work. I need a solution bad.

My computers: xp sp3 seven sp1 When I click on network on wd nothing happen All PCs and wd are in the same workgroup. Can anybody help then? Your comment in the first post gives me a clue. Good luck with the fix. The problem IS wd for me too. I have a wired network and not wireless.

Addendum: some months ago I was able to see network shares from wd. Hopefully this might help a few of you out there. By the way I use a AirLink Not sure what to do next. Any advice out there?
